Students registered for Fall 2020 classes are able to
make appointments to utilize libraries, limited face-to-face tutoring services and select computer labs at all campuses.
Appointments are available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday. Sessions will range from one to two hours, depending upon the type of service needed.
Walk-ins are not permitted.
Appointments must be scheduled at least 72 hours (three days) in advance of the requested day, and students are required to follow all
procedures for visiting campus.
Tutoring is available at all seven campuses of Dallas College. You can access the following tutoring services online:
Drop-in, one-on-one tutoring is available for many Core courses. These include English, math and science. Drop-in tutoring means you can just drop in without an appointment. If you are unable to visit a tutor in an online session, you may be able to submit your essay and receive feedback via email. Check the information below to see if this service is offered at your campus.
Online tutoring by appointment for English and other writing assignments is an option if you are unable to drop in during posted times. Check the campus information below to see whether your campus offers it.
One-on-one tutoring is available to students who qualify for the TRIO program.
Scheduled workshops will be offered online.
Need help beyond tutoring? Many of our campuses provide support for building strong study skills, managing time effectively, reducing stress, etc. Your campus learning center or student resource center will have what you need.
Online Tutoring Tips
To make the most of online tutoring, we recommend using Google Chrome and connecting a headset (earbuds and microphone) to your computer. Please check specific hours within each individual online community.
Log in to eCampus.
- At the top of the eCampus website, click on the red Community tab.
- In your list of organizations, locate your campus tutoring community.
- From the list in My Organizations, click on the community name to enter the community.
Note: If a tutoring community is not listed in your available organizations, use the search box to find the organization and self-enroll. If you are taking classes at more than one campus, you can join the community for each of your locations.
