Step 2: Pre-Advising
Once you receive an official acceptance, an international student enrollment representative will provide you with information about setting up an eConnect account, downloading the Navigate app and other pre-admission requirements, including how to select a guided pathway and complete a Choices 360 career assessment.
Step 3: Assessment Requirements
Before registering for your first credit course, you must meet the requirements of the Texas Success Initiative (TSI). This includes a pre-assessment activity and assessment testing. Scores or exemptions will determine the level at which you start college coursework. An international student enrollment representative will help you determine your TSI status.
Step 4: F-1 Information Session
All international students are required to attend an F-1 information session through the international student services office or multicultural office. During your information session, you will learn about the registration process, campus resources and the many ways we can help you succeed at Dallas College.
All new-to-college students (who have less than 15 credits) are required to attend New Student Orientation.
Step 5: Registering for Classes
Once you have completed the application, advising and orientation processes, you may register for the coming semester. An international student enrollment representative will provide you more details on how to register.
Step 6: Paying for Classes
Find out when to pay and where to pay.
Once you have paid for your classes or set up a payment plan, your designated school official (DSO) will review your student record for full-time enrollment and provide your continued attendance form I-20.
