Student Leadership Development Programs

Leadership and life skills go hand in hand. Our programs focus on the development of these skills outside of the classroom. Emerging leaders can work to improve their leadership abilities and gain practical knowledge in the following areas:

  • Critical thinking
  • Social and cultural awareness
  • Interpersonal communication and relationship building
  • Teamwork and group dynamics
  • Goal setting and influencing others
  • Decision making and conflict resolution
  • Emotional intelligence

We believe everyone has the potential to be a leader. Begin your leadership journey today!

Student Leadership Institute (SLI) Program

Our free leadership program gives you the chance to develop these skills for personal and professional growth. We enhance your knowledge of leadership through the humanities, hands-on activities, dynamic speakers, conferences and retreats.

Our interactive online program includes a monthly live session and will offer a variety of content each semester. Students will receive special recognition upon completion of the course requirements.

The Student Leadership Institute is open to all Dallas College students. Register through the Student Life BlackBoard Community Page.
