Think you don’t have the money for college? We can help. The Rising Star Program is here for you.
Rising Star provides qualified high school graduates with academic support services, career development and up to $5,500 for tuition and books at a college of DCCCD, if you have established financial need.
The DCCCD Foundation created the Rising Star Program because we believe everyone should have a chance to realize the American dream. We also believe that a college education through
Dallas County Community College District is an excellent first step toward achieving that goal.Recognizing that some people truly lack the personal finances needed for college — even the
affordable rates offered by
Dallas County Community College District — the Foundation established the Rising Star Scholars Program in 1999.
If you will graduate by June 2019 from a Dallas County public high school, have demonstrated financial need and meet certain academic requirements, you can be a Rising Star.
