A Phased Approach

​​Our campuses are currently closed to the general public at this time. Most classes will be held online through the Spring 2021 semester.

Overview

  • The Back to Campus committee, made up of representatives from across Dallas College, has developed the Return to Campus Plan guided by the safety and well-being of employees, students and visitors of Dallas College.
  • This approach will allow limited face-to-face instruction to occur so students may complete coursework required for their credentials.
  • As of Feb, 11, 2021, there are updated plans for a phased in-person return of all employees to our locations that allows us to meet CDC guidelines regarding social distancing and safe workplace protocols.
  • Before returning to campus, all employees are required to read and agree to safety protocols and procedures, as well as complete required training through Cornerstone.
  • All employees are required to complete a health pre-screening daily via the web or app to help confirm that you are well and not at risk of getting others sick.
  • Procedures will also be in place for anyone who falls ill during work hours, with emphasis on the well-being of the employee, co-workers and students.
  • Face coverings will be required for anyone at our locations as this is recommended by CDC as a best practice to help reduce the transmission of COVID-19. Please bring your own face coverings and ensure that they are cleaned regularly.
  • Faculty should review instructions specific to in-person teaching.

Beginning April 5, 2021

  • To support our planned increase of face-to-face instruction for the Summer 2021 and Fall 2021 semesters, Dallas College anticipates a full return to in-person operations.
  • During this time, student enrollment will begin for the Summer and Fall semesters.
  • Employees will be required to use the web-based application for self-health questionnaire.
