Mia M. Kirby, M.S.W., LCSW

Adjunct Faculty, Social Work

Mia M. Kirby teaches courses in Social Work for Eastfield College and for the University of Texas at Arlington. She earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans and a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degree from the University of Maryland in Baltimore. She is working on a doctoral degree in sociology at Texas Woman’s University. 

Professional experience includes work in juvenile detention, substance abuse, outpatient mental health care, foster care and skilled nursing facilities. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and holds certification as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
