What is Health Information Technology (HIT)?
Health Information Technology refers to the technology framework used to manage health information that ensures record accuracy, organization, quality, security and accessibility for patients.
What does a HIT professional do?
Health information professionals are vital to the daily operations management of health information and electronic health records (EHRs). They ensure that a patient's health information and records are accessible, complete, accurate and protected.
With an associate degree in Health Information Technology, you can gain the technical and administrative skills to develop and manage complex health information systems consistent with professional and regulatory standards. Health industry employers are looking for workers who are highly trained in the latest information management technology applications and who can understand the workflow in any health care provider organization.
What will you study?
