Step 1: Applying for College

Note: If you are an international student, please visit the International Student Admission page for more information or to contact us with questions. 

All other students can apply in one of three ways:

  1. Online
    Apply online using the eConnect Application for Credit Admissions. eConnect is a web service that lets you get personalized information and conduct business online.
    Please note: If you were formerly enrolled as a credit student at a college of DCCCD but have not registered within the past year, you must submit an updated admissions application.
  2. By mail

    Print this application (PDF - 315KB), fill it out, and mail or fax it to the college of your choice. Note: Due to COVID-19 the processing time for mail is delayed. Please allow a reasonable time to process.

  3. In person

    Drop by the Admissions/Registrar’s Office at the college you wish to attend and complete an admissions application in person. Note: Due to COVID-19, all processes are taking place remotely. Please visit our coronavirus information site for more information.

What you will need

  • Completed application
  • Your official high school transcript or GED certificate. (If you graduated from high school within the past five years, your transcript is required.)
  • Official college transcripts, if applicable. 
  • Have your transcripts sent directly to the college of DCCCD.
  • Proof of bacterial meningitis vaccinationNote: Due to COVID-19, meningitis waivers are available. 

The amount of tuition charged is based on your residency classification.

After you apply

You will receive a welcome email containing your student ID. Please complete the following steps:

  1. Fill out the Student Information Profile online in eConnect. To access your Student Information Profile, sign in to eConnect (login required). You can find the Student Information Profile under the My Personal Information section of the Current Credit Student Menu. 
  2. Take an online career interest assessment (login required) using Choices360. Choices 360 is a career interest assessment that helps you identify your strengths and will allow an enrollment representative to help you explore career paths and degree options. 


Contact the Admissions/Registrar’s Office at the college you plan to attend or text “DCCCD” to 214-978-6457.
