River Legacy Foundation mission is to preserve our natural world as well as to foster awareness and appreciation in the community for the wonders of nature. River Legacy fulfills these purposes by offering nature school for children, summer classes, family festivals and interactive exhibits of vertebrate and invertebrate animals. River Legacy Foundation is always looking for skilled volunteers to help in a variety of ways. Opportunities such a great backyard bird count, Earth Day Festival, Cardboard Boat regatta, Clay Shoot, After Dark in the Park, Water festival, front desk ambassador (6 month+) and animal care (6 month+) available. Times available are Monday - Saturday 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.. Students must be 15 years or older and are required to purchase an $8.00 volunteer t-shirt.
