Description: The Richardson Animal Shelter is an open intake and adoption facility that focuses on animal welfare and humane treatment of all animals. Operating at its current location since 2001, the Richardson Animal Shelter is passionate about rescuing, protecting and finding forever homes for the pets that come into our care. The Richardson Animal Shelter cares for more than 4,500 animals annually, maintains active foster programs, offers public education programs, promotes responsible pet ownership and regularly works with local animal rescue organizations.
