Chancellor's Volunteer Service Award

​​​The Dallas College Chancellor's Volunteer Service Award was created in 2020 to recognize students who complete at least 100 hours o​​f approved Service Learning within a calendar year.​

The honor is similar to the national President's Volunteer Service Award, which recognizes individuals whose volunteer service positively impacts their communities. 

 
 

Bronze Level

100-174 hours

 

Silver Level

175-249 hours

 

Gold Level

250 or more hours


 

Service Learning is more than volunteering. It combines academic instruction with active community service, utilizing critical, reflective thinking to examine the world around you and your civic responsibilities.

Students must work with their campus' Service Learning coordinator to meet all eligibility requirements. The coordinator will certify award recipients.​
