The DCCCD Mobile App Has a Few New Features

This article appeared in the Sept. 25, 2018, issue of the student newsletter.

You already (hopefully) use the DCCCD app to stay connected with what's happening on your campus. But we have a few new features in the app you can use for your safety and security.

The app already alerted you to emergencies on your campus, but thanks to a new feature, you can now anonymously report incidents to campus police.

For emergencies when you can't or are unable to speak, you can now text police dispatch through the app. Both new features are ready to use and are easy to find in the app.

Need a refresher on campus emergency procedures? We've got you covered there, too, because now you can watch emergency procedures videos within the app.

Get the App on Your Phone

Maybe you haven't gotten around to getting the app on your phone. Let's go step by step and make sure you stay up to date on what's going on at DCCCD:

  1. Pull up The App Store or Google Play and search for DCCCD. The app is also available to view in your browser or on tablets and other devices.
That's it! Once you download it, you're good to go.

App Features

You've got the app downloaded on your phone, your tablet or your browser. Now what? We've got enough features to keep you busy and informed:

  • Maps: You're lost on campus or you have to make it to a building you've never been to before. No problem! Just pull up your campus' map to see both where you currently are and where your destination is.
  • Events: Campus events are typically how you can get involved and feel a connection to your college. So make sure you don't miss any with the DCCCD mobile app. News & Events is right on the home screen. All you have to do is click it, and you can choose what events you want to view just by tapping them. You can even subscribe to calendars.
  • eCampus and eConnect: Check your grades, discussion boards and assignments on eCampus, and check out your class schedule and financial aid information or request your transcript on eConnect.
  • Contact: Need to contact someone with the district? Pull up the app's public directory for contact information.

Pull up the app now and get all the DCCCD resources you need right in the palm of your hand.
