Brookhaven College
BHC’s
Fitness Lab (weight room) is open to all credit students at no charge:
- Located in Bldg. T, Room T123 (downstairs)
- Hours of operation are announced on a whiteboard across the hall and on the
Fitness Lab website two weeks after classes begin each semester.
BHC has a
jogging trail marked for either a 1.5-mile or 2-mile run or walk.
Tennis courts, available free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis, can be used every day except Friday mornings when classes are held.
Cedar Valley College
CVC’s
weight room is open to all credit students at no charge:
- Monday – Friday: 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
- Saturday – Sunday: Closed
Tennis courts are available on a first-come, first-served basis, also at no charge.
Eastfield College
EFC's fitness center is open free of charge to credit students registered in a PHED/KINE course, faculty and staff with an Eastfield ID. There is a small fee ($10/month and $25/quarter) for using the pool or weight room for all others.
- Monday and Wednesday, 1:30-5:30 p.m.
- Tuesday and Thursday, 2-5:30 p.m.
- Friday, 1-4:30 p.m.
The outdoor pool (which is kept at 88 degrees!) is open Monday-Friday, from noon-4 p.m. from March to October. (A lifeguard is on duty then.) In the event of inclement weather, the pool will be closed.
The soft-surface, outdoor
jogging trail is a mile long, marked off in quarter-mile increments. It's open dawn to dusk.
Outdoor basketball,
racquetball and tennis courts are also open, and students can check out golf clubs and use the
golf green to play a round.
El Centro College
El Centro College has
two locations for physical fitness.
At its main downtown campus, El Centro's Physical Fitness Lab, Aerobic Super Circuit and gymnasium (located in C-220) are available to students at no charge with their valid student ID. Workout hours vary by semester. Contact the Student Life Office, 214-860-2137 (Room B-270) for current availability and procedures.
There is also the El Centro College Wellness Center, located at 800 Main St. on the 15th floor of the Bank of America Parking Building, adjacent to the college. The facility is equipped with several workout spaces, a lap pool, track, full-service locker rooms, sauna, jacuzzi and group activity rooms. Memberships are available to students, employees and the general public without any membership initiation fees or contracts.
Students and employees within the DCCCD, contact El Centro College Continuing Education to join the Wellness Center. Businesses and members of the general public, please contact the Wellness Center directly at 214-860-2730.

North Lake College
North Lake’s
fitness center is free during open hours to students taking P.E. classes. For other students, the fee is $45 for three months.
Fitness center hours are:
- Monday and Wednesday, 9:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
- Tuesday and Thursday, 3:30 p.m.-7:30 p.m.
- Friday, 9:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
NLC’s
tennis courts are open to all credit students, free of charge, when class is not in session. You can also use the
jogging trail and the two small
outdoor basketball courts.
Natatorium
The natatorium is a 50-meter indoor swimming facility that is a partnership of the City of Irving, the Irving Independent School District (IISD), and the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD), and it is operated and managed by the City of Irving for joint use by the city and IISD.
Natatorium hours for public swim are:

Richland College
Students taking credit P.E. classes may use Richland’s Fitness Center free of charge. The facilities can hold up to 40 people at one time. Students not currently taking P.E. classes can sign up to use the Fitness Center for $20 a month. For detailed information, including hours of operation, visit the

Tennis courts are available on a first-come, first-served basis when classes are not in session; there’s no charge for credit students with an ID.
The
gym is open on a limited basis for free play, although the busy fall schedule means there aren’t many open hours.
Richland also has a soft-surface,
outdoor jogging trail that is 3/4 mile long, marked off in 1/8-mile increments. A
one-mile circuit uses some of the sidewalks on campus in conjunction with the soft-surface track.
