This pathway is an example course sequence for students interested in teaching EC-6, 4-8, or Special Ed EC-12. Following this pathway will help you earn an AAT degree EC-6 or an AAT 4-8/Special Education EC-12. All plans can be modified to fit the needs of part-time students. This is not an official degree plan. Refer to catalog for official degree requirements. You must receive a GPA of at least 2.50 on all college-level course work. Students must earn at least 25% of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by Dallas College. Contact your advisor for information.

HIST 1301 – United States History I This is a (CB 060) Core course.

TECA 1354 – Child Growth and Development* This is a (CB 080) Core course. Texas A&M University-Commerce requires TECA 1354.

SPCH 1311 – Introduction to Speech Communication* This is a (CB 090) Core course.
