Students must earn at least 25 percent of the credit hours required for graduation through instruction by one of the seven DCCCD colleges awarding the degree. • SPCH 1311 – Introduction to Speech Communication This is a (090) Core course. There are several options to fulfill this requirement. See your academic advisor for a specific list.
• ARTS 2356 – Photography I

• Studio Lighting Elective – Studio Lighting Elective: North Lake recommends ARTS 2311 Design III (Photo Business); Richland recommends ARTS 2389 Academic Cooperative (Studio Lighting). OPTION: A student interested in Photography but unable to take either of the lighting classes needs to take PHO 210 – Introduction to Studio Lighting at TAMU-Commerce and take any ARTS 2311 Design III (Advanced Photography) or any ARTS class as an elective.
