Student ID Badges
Students are required to have their student ID badge on them at all times while they are on campus.
You will need to show a photo ID (such as a driver's license, passport, government-issued ID, etc.) in order to receive your student ID badge. Registered students receive their first ID badges free of charge. A replacement fee of $10 (paid at the cashier's office) will be incurred if your first badge is lost or stolen.
Computer Access and One-on-One Assistance
We provide students with computer access to the internet, software, email and class course sites.
We offer students one-on-one assistance with a variety of computer needs. We do not tutor students or do their course work, but we do provide guidance to help them obtain access and navigate the computers.
This includes navigation of course websites (including eCampus and eConnect), formatting of papers, understanding the printing system, pop-up/cookie blockers, resetting passwords and more.
We provide a variety of assistive technology for students with disabilities, including JAWS, FS Reader, WYNN Wizard and MAGic.
Printing, Copying and Scanning
Color and black-and-white printing and copies are available using the PaperCut print system. No coins are accepted — only credit cards and paper cash. No refunds are given for money added to your account.
Study rooms are available for student use in groups of three to six people. They are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
Tutors are available by appointment and walk-in during set hours each semester. Tutors offer one-on-one and group assistance to students, free of charge. Tutoring is currently available in accounting and computer programming.
TSI Pre-Assessment Information
Students needing to watch the TSI video or take the quiz can do so in the Student Resource Center. You can bring your own headphones/earbuds or borrow a set from the SRC. You will need to know your student ID number in order to access eConnect to complete the video and quiz.
If you think you have lost your student ID on campus, please check with the NLC police department and the Student Resource Center Computer Lab before paying the $10 replacement fee. Your ID might have been turned in to the lost-and-found.
