An amazing variety of scholarships exist. Some require a high GPA or financial need, but many don't. It can take a little effort to find the scholarships that are the best fit for you, but the reward — money for college that you don’t have to pay back — is worth it!

Visit these websites for information on scholars​hips offered by outside organizations, or contact the Financial Aid Office at your campus (or the campus you plan to attend).

College Board Scholarship Search

Find scholarships, loans, internships and other financial aid programs from noncollege sources to match your education level, talents and background. Free Scholarship Search will find potential opportunities from a database of more than 2,000 undergraduate scholarships, internships and loan programs.

Peterson's partner Cappex.com offers a database where you can search for more than $12 billion of scholarships and grants.

Provided by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, this site offers up-to-date, easy-to-follow information on preparing for college, selecting a college, paying for college, making your way through college and choosing a career.

Texas Guaranteed

Texas Guaranteed (TG) provides Adventures In Education (AIE) to help parents and students prepare for higher education. AIE also provides a section for high school and college counselors.

Hispanic Scholarship Fund

The Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF) is the largest Hispanic scholarship-granting organization in the nation. HSF recognizes and rewards outstanding Hispanic students in higher education throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Founded in 1975, HSF has awarded nearly 54,000 scholarships totaling more than $89 million.

United Negro College Fund

The United Negro College Fund awards scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students. Information on these scholarships and faculty fellowship grants are provided on this site for review. You can search for UNCF scholarships alphabetically, geographically and by discipline or major.
