Faculty Market Disparity Stipend for Full-time Faculty
Dallas College awards stipends of $15,000 $8,000 or $5,000 to attract and retain qualified full-time faculty teaching in disciplines where there is a demonstrated market disparity. Current approved stipends are as follows:

What are the criteria for teaching at Dallas College?
Dallas College’s criteria, in accordance with Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges guidelines, are as follows.
For credit courses designed to transfer to a baccalaureate degree:
- A master’s degree in the teaching discipline.
- (A minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the subject to be taught.)
Each Dallas College campus hires continuing education instructors independently and has a slightly different process for doing so.

For workforce education courses not designed for transfer:
- A combination of academic preparation and work experience.
- (Including three years of direct or related work experience other than teaching.)
For developmental courses:
- A bachelor’s degree in the specific teaching discipline and demonstrated competency.
- (E.g., teaching experience, honors, graduate course work or other related accomplishments.)
