Our campuses are currently closed to the general public at this time. Most classes will be held online through the Fall 2020 semester.
Dallas College continues to monitor the outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus) and its impact on our community. We are following guidance from Dallas County Health and Human Services as well as the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
Before returning to campus, visit the
Back to Campus webpage for information such as guidelines, required steps to take and more.
There are personal steps that can be taken to avoid transmission or acquiring the disease, including avoiding personal contact with people who are sick or who may have been exposed to COVID-19 and washing your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. In addition to being spread through contact with infected surfaces, COVID-19 is believed to be transmitted through the air when a carrier coughs or sneezes, much like flu and other respiratory diseases are spread.
Symptoms are thought to appear within two to 14 days after exposure and include fever, cough and shortness of breath.
We will continue to monitor and evaluate this situation and keep our students, employees and communities informed as developments occur, particularly as they relate to operations during the Fall 2020 semester.
Self-Quarantine and Self-Reporting
If you believe you have come in contact with someone who tested positive for COVID-19 or you believe you may be infected with COVID-19, please view our self-quarantine guidelines and complete our self-reporting form (login required) so that health professionals can adequately track this information and coordinate internal support. The information will be kept secure and confidential.

Dual Credit Information
Dual credit, Early College High School and P-TECH college courses offered at high schools or campuses of Dallas College will not be able to be offered in-person if the Dallas College campus or the high school/independent school district is closed due to a public health emergency related to COVID-19. If the campuses close and the high school/school district remains open, the Dallas College faculty would not be expected to hold in-person college credit courses but would need to offer online or remote instruction. High school employees and students should follow the guidance of their high school and school district regarding high school classes.
