High School Equivalency (HSE)

​​​​​​Have you attended high school but never graduated? Have you been working but would like to show your supervisors that you wa​nt to learn more?

Get your HSE degree! The High School Equivalency (HSE) preparation program – formerly known as GED (General Educational Development) preparation shows that you care about learning. And it indicates to your employer — or future em​ployers — that you can set​ goals for yourself and achieve them.

HSE Training Classes

Dallas College offers courses that will prepare you to take the HSE test. Classes are available at some campuses in Spanish. All HSE courses are currently offered through the WorkReadyU program.​

HSE training classes include:

  • Reading
  • Math
  • Writing
  • Science
  • Social Studies

How to Register for Classes

Complete the Interest Form​ to start your process. This is the Career Connected Learning interest form where the information you provide facilitates us guiding you through various funding and support opportunities at Dallas College. The first question on the interest form will let us know how to help you. For the HSE program, please select the WorkReadyU option that states you would like assistance.
