This self-portrait uses symbolism focusing on a favorite animal, the stag with horns connoting gentleness, protection, and the sun. I also include my favorite flower, the thistle, as protection, strength, and devotion. I love the image of a deer running free through the forest, as thistles protect from soft-footed predators.
