Is wisdom gained gradually, or is the explosion of fire meeting a raging river? Authenticity demands the loss of cherished lies.

Growing up in the Amazon rainforest, I never thought I would feel at home in a big city like Dallas. I also never thought I would be able to make art. I've always been creative, but this was considered more of a liability than an asset in a purely practical world. I tried to ignore and hide this part of myself until I had a daughter who was very artistic. In trying to find classes for her, I realized that it was OK that I wanted to make art too. My next step was to learn those skills myself, so I enrolled in classes at Dallas College Mountain View Campus. This is the beginning of my journey.
