In the Paralegal program, you’ll learn how to handle routine assignments for attorneys, with opportunities for advancement in many areas. Please be aware that the program does not qualify graduates to take a bar exam, represent clients in court, give legal advice or provide independent legal services.
El Centro’s Paralegal program is an associate degree program designed to prepare you to work as a technically qualified paralegal to attorneys. It can be completed in two years if you are a full-time student.
El Centro’s program is not only widely respected but is also an incredible bargain. Its setting near downtown Dallas provides access to the Records Building, George Allen Civil Courthouse, Frank Crowley Criminal Courthouse and Earle Cabell Federal Courthouse. Many law firms are located in the area.

Workforce Solutions of Greater Dallas’s targeted occupations lists paralegal as a high-growth area this year, with more than 4,070 job openings projected across the metroplex at an average of $27.24 per hour and 29 percent job growth.

careers with the most job openings and 17th among its 45 fastest-growing occupations through 2024.
