Billy Robinson has been a battalion chief since 2003, having previously served as a fire captain, lieutenant and recruiting officer. Active certifications include fire officer I, fire service instructor II, firefighter master and ARFF basic; he has also served as a Dallas paramedic.

Born and raised in Dallas, he attended Roosevelt High School and received a bachelor’s degree in biology from Dallas Baptist University.

Chief Robinson is active in the community and serves as the lead advisor for the Dallas Fire-Rescue Explorer program, in which young students are given an opportunity to participate in and experience action alongside firefighters and paramedics on actual calls in the field.
