William L. (Bill) Drake earned a bachelor’s degree in sociology from Bishop College in Dallas and a master’s degree in social rehabilitation and criminal justice from Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. Mr. Drake began his teaching career in 1974 as a full-time criminal justice instructor at Bishop College.

He opened the Criminal Justice program at Mountain View in 1997 and has served as both a faculty administrator and full-time faculty member since 1998. His professional experience includes working as a Dallas County juvenile probation officer and owning and managing his own firm, Drake & Drake Private Investigation Co.

Mr. Drake is a multiyear recipient of the Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers award, having received the award in three successive years (2003, 2004 and 2005). He has been recognized by the Texas House of Representatives District 110 for volunteer service to the community in its drug and alcohol awareness campaigns.
