Coordinator of the credit Criminal Justice program at Eastfield College, Patrick O. Patterson received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in criminal justice from Grambling State University in Grambling, La. He has pursued doctoral courses through Nova Southeastern University in Florida and Texas A&M University-Commerce.
Mr. Patterson has worked in public, private and military law enforcement. He has taught criminal justice courses at Mohawk Valley Community College in Utica, N.Y.; Lane College in Jackson, Tenn.; Texas College in Tyler, Texas; and Jarvis Christian College in Hawkins, Texas. He spent 10 years in the U.S. Army and U.S. Air Force Military and Security Police Criminal Investigation Division and five years in federal security. He also served as a patrol officer in the Tyler Junior College Police Department. He holds an instructor certificate from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and Education (TCLEOSE) and is a member of the American Society for Industrial Security, the National Association of Chiefs of Police, the Texas Police Association and the Oxford Round Table of Oxford, England. He holds certification as a Level Four Personal Protection Officer.
