Coleman McKoy

Coleman McKoy came to El Centro College as Criminal Justice program director and faculty in 2016, bringing more than 10 years of experience in education. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Grambling State University in Grambling, Louisiana; an M.Ed. degree in educational administration and M.A. degree in educational counseling from Prairie View A&M in Prairie View, Texas; and an M.S. degree in cybersecurity from Utica College in Utica, New York.

He has more than 20 years’ experience working in the military and in the criminal justice field, where he worked as a petroleum technician, fraud investigator and juvenile detention officer. He brings to the classroom his experiences in the criminal justice field through illustrating theories with real-world examples. He is also actively engaged with students outside of the classroom, serving as faculty advisor for the Criminal Justice Society and mentoring high school criminal justice students at El Centro College.
