Adjunct Faculty, Social Work

Wednesday Newell began teaching Social Work courses as an adjunct faculty member in 2013. She holds a Master of Social Work (M.S.W.) degree from the University of Texas at Arlington and a bachelor’s degree in social work from Grambling State University in Grambling, Louisiana.  

She has served many different populations in social work including children, families, older adults and the physically and mentally challenged.  She has worked in many different areas of social work including foster care, school social work, treatment center, home health and program development.  She has lived and worked in Louisiana, Texas, Tennessee and Cardiff, Wales, in the United Kingdom.  

She holds certification as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).
