Daniel Ramirez, M.A., LPC

Faculty, Social Work and Substance Abuse Counseling 

Daniel Ramirez began teaching as a full-time faculty member in the Social Work and Substance Abuse Counseling programs at Eastfield in the fall of 2016. He has been working with adults, adolescents and families for more than 15 years in a variety of settings and maintains a private counseling practice in McKinney. 

He has worked in educational settings for the Plano, Dallas and Houston independent school districts, where he developed and mentored groups for college readiness and drug and gang prevention. He has also had professional counseling experience in chemical dependency, anger management, marriage and family counseling, and juvenile truancy.  

Daniel received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of St. Thomas in Houston and completed his Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in counseling at Argosy University. He holds certification in Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
