Lab Coordinator and FacultyEl Centro College
Marilyn Anderson has been teaching at El Centro College since 2003. She holds an associate degree in radiologic technology from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock and earned a bachelor’s degree in radiological sciences from Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls. She has worked as a staff technologist in the emergency room of Methodist Dallas Hospital, as a radiology supervisor and educator for Kaiser Permanente in Kansas City, Mo., and as a radiographer-PRN for St. Luke South Hospital in Overland Park, Kan.
Previous teaching experience also includes serving as radiology faculty for Baylor University Medical Center’s Radiology Allied Health School in Dallas, in the JPS Institute for Health Career Development in Fort Worth and at Sanford-Brown College in Kansas City, Mo.
She works as a site visitor for the
Joint Review Committee in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT), the only agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit educational programs in radiography and radiation therapy.
She is a board member of the North Texas Radiologic Technologist Society (NTRTS) and a member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) and American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (AART). She also holds a certificate as a phlebotomist.
