Tracey Hobbs earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Texas Woman’s University School of Nursing in Denton and received her Master of Science in Nursing degree from the University of Texas at Tyler.
With more than 17 years of clinical experience as a registered nurse, Mrs. Hobbs began her nursing career in the emergency department and continued into the area of her specific interest, women’s health. She has held various positions including staff nurse, preceptor, charge nurse and labor and delivery educator for Methodist Dallas Medical Center, where she taught graduate nurse internships for several years. She also served as adjunct faculty at El Centro College and as a clinical education specialist at Texas Health Resources through THR’s partnership program.
She is certified through the National Certification Corporation in Inpatient Obstetrics; is a member of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetrics and Neonatal Nursing and Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Society; and is an American Heart Association BLS Instructor. Mrs. Hobbs teaches OB and Pediatric Clinical, Foundations in Nursing Clinical, Medical/Surgical Clinical, Nursing Skills I and Dosage Calculations for Nursing.
