Mark A. Meyer, Ph.D., APRN, FNP-BC

Dr. Mark Meyer earned bachelor’s degrees in economics and in nursing, both from the University of Utah. He earned a Master of Science degree in nursing administration from the University of the Incarnate Word and a doctorate in nursing from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. Dr. Meyer also earned a Family Nurse Practitioner’s Post Master’s Certificate from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Dr. Meyer served six years in the U.S. Air Force. His clinical experience is in emergency room and ICU nursing. He has been teaching nursing since 2002 and has served in several nursing administration positions. His teaching areas of interest are nursing management, medical-surgical nursing and HIV nursing. His research area of interest is STD and HIV prevention. Dr. Meyer also works part time for an urgent care clinic as a FNP.
