Linda Gray earned her initial nursing diploma at St. Joseph School of Nursing in Fort Worth; she holds both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Texas Woman’s University. A clinical nurse specialist in Texas, she also has earned hours toward her doctorate in higher education from Nova University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
With more than 25 years of teaching experience in both classroom and clinical education, she has taught in each level in the
Associate Degree Nursing program and the Vocational Nursing program’s continuing education for medication aides. She has taught in Trinity Valley Community College’s nursing programs and was director of a Dallas home health care agency for 15 years; her experience also includes diabetic education.
She is a member of El Centro’s Faculty Association, Texas Junior College Teachers Association, Alpha Phi Sorority, the National Alliance of Mental Illness and Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.
Ms. Gray was named El Centro’s Innovator of the Year in 2002 for her development of PAR online testing for associate degree nursing and allied health and received an excellence in teaching award from the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development.
