Kathy Pritchett holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Incarnate Word College and a master’s degree in nursing from Texas Woman’s University. She has taught in El Centro’s Associate Degree Nursing program since 1977 and previously taught at St. Paul School of Nursing and Texas Woman’s University.

Kathy has been honored as El Centro’s Minnie Stevens Piper Professor, as the college’s Innovator of the Year for her co-development role in creating an articulation program for licensed vocational nurses to complete the ADN program, as one of the Great 100 Nurses in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, and with a National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development Teaching Excellence Award.

She is a member of El Centro’s Faculty Association, the Texas Community College Teachers Association and Sigma Theta Tau International Nursing Honor Society.
