Cathy R. Bryant M.S.N., RN, CCRN

Cathy Bryant joined the Associate Degree Nursing faculty at Mountain View in January 2017 as a didactic instructor for fourth-semester nursing students and as clinical/lab faculty for all students. Her teaching experience includes serving as adjunct clinical faculty at Texas Woman’s University in Dallas; professional development specialist at Baylor Scott and White (BSWH) in Irving; and adjunct nursing lab faculty and nursing simulation lab specialist at Chamberlain College of Nursing in Chicago.

Ms. Bryant is a certified Critical Care Nurse (CCN) with more than 20 years of acute care experience in intensive care settings, including medical, surgical, cardiovascular and neurology. She worked for more than 17 years at a level-one trauma center in the Chicago area.

Ms. Bryant holds a Master’s of Science in Nursing degree in education from South University, Savannah, Georgia, and a post-graduate certificate in nursing informatics from Chamberlain College of Nursing in Downers Grove, Illinois. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, Illinois, and associate degrees in health professions and liberal arts from Prairie State College in Chicago Heights, Illinois.

She is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (AACN), the Association for Nursing Professional Development (ANPD) and the International Nursing Association for Clinical Simulation and Learning (INACSL). She is also a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
