Brenda Perkins, M.S.N., RN

Associate Degree Nursing faculty
El Centro College

Brenda Perkins holds a Masters of Science in Nursing degree, with a subspecialty in education, from Walden University in Minneapolis, as well as a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Texas Woman’s University in Denton. She holds two DCCCD associate degrees: one in nursing from El Centro College and one in general studies from Cedar Valley College. 

She has taught in El Centro’s Nursing program since 2014, and for 10 years was a health sciences instructor at Sachse High School in Sachse. She has also served as a dual credit instructor in health science technology and an adjunct nursing clinical instructor at El Centro. 

Work experience includes serving as a nursing supervisor at UT-Southwestern Medical School’s OB/GYN department in Dallas. She also worked for Dallas County Health and Human Services as an immunization supervisor, supervisor/manager and public health nurse. She is a certified CPR instructor.
