Steven Carter holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling psychology from Texas Tech University. He has published numerous articles in professional journals and has conducted research in areas related to disability and rehabilitation.
Having taught many years in the field of vocational rehabilitation psychology, he has also served as a vocational disability expert in court cases in eight states and has served as an expert on Social Security disability appeals. He has taught anatomy and physiology, vocational rehabilitation, medical and psychological aspects of disability, pathophysiology and psychology-related coursework at the college level since 1984.
He is the coordinator of workforce and continuing education programs at El Centro College and a private practitioner in vocational evaluation at Career Assessment Services in Dallas, where he continues to do vocational evaluations for selected cases.
