Zachary Caldwell, B.A.A.S., NREMT-P

​Zachary Caldwell is a fire captain for the Allen Fire Department, where he has also served as a driver/operator/engineer and a firefighter/paramedic since joining the department in 2001. He is responsible for seven personnel and more than a million dollars’ worth of equipment, serving as a midlevel supervisor in charge of emergency and nonemergency activities for his crew members. He is trained in specialty rescue disciplines including trench rescue, confined space rescue, advanced ropes and incident command. 

He holds a B.A.A.S. degree from West Texas A&M University in Canyon as well as an associate degree from Collin College. An instructor of paramedic and EMT skills, he is a certified instructor in ACLS, CPR, PHTLS, AMLS and other disciplines. He is certified as a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (NREMT-P). The Allen Fire Department named him Paramedic of the Year in 2011 and Firefighter of the Year in 2013.
