Richard Campbell, B.S., LP/NREMT-P, FF

Richard Campbell has a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Abilene Christian University and an Associate in Applied Sciences degree in paramedicine from Texas State Technical College-Sweetwater. He is a lead instructor for Brookhaven’s EMS program.

Richard became a full-time faculty member in 2004 after having been adjunct faculty since 2002, when Metrocrest Medical Services (MMS) was incorporated into Brookhaven College. He had taught at MMS since 1995.

Before teaching at Brookhaven, Richard began his EMS career as a paramedic for Abilene Emergency Medical Service and then spent 14 years at Fort Worth’s MedStar EMS. He is a National Registry paramedic, a Texas Department of State Health Services licensed paramedic and EMS instructor.  

He holds additional instructor certifications in ACLS, PALS, PHTLS, AMLS, PEPP, GEMS, AHLS and ATLS-audit. Additionally, he is a professional firefighter for the city of Farmers Branch, holding multiple Texas Commission of Fire Protection certifications, including fire officer 1 and 2, fire instructor-intermediate, advanced firefighter and hazmat technician.
