Chris Thompson, B.A.A.S., LP

Paramedic Program Director and Faculty

Chris Thompson has more than 20 years of combined EMS experience including rural 911 EMS and emergency departments at Methodist Hospital and Parkland Hospital. He has also worked for more than 15 years in the Biotel Medical System.  

He has been in EMS education for more than 10 years, serving as a paramedic instructor at UT Southwestern Medical Center, Trinity Valley Community College and El Centro College. He has served as the director of El Centro’s Paramedic program since the summer of 2016. 

Chris graduated cum laude from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Science (B.A.A.S.) degree. In addition to being a TDSHS Paramedic, he is an instructor for ACLS, BLS, PEPP and ITLS. He is a licensed paramedic (LP).
