Ricky Barrow

Ricky Barrow serves as a welding instructor – industrial maintenance and machine shop – and coordinator for workforce development. A former DCCCD student, Barrow completed the Industrial Maintenance Program at the top of his class in 2012 and began teaching machining courses. He is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.

A Dallas native, Barrow is a past Duke Scholar nominee and a graduate of the International Baccalaureate Program at Garland High School. He worked for Rucker Construction after high school where he earned employee of the year two years in a row and quickly became the foreman/job site manager. Shortly after he started his own construction business, which he still works at in his spare time.
