In the welding industry since 2002, Chris Wood attended courses in the Welding Technology program at Mountain View College. In Fall 2008 El Centro College opened a noncredit welding program at the Bill J. Priest Institute and he began teaching as an adjunct faculty member.
As a technical training associate, Chris contacts welding companies nationwide to build relationships to help students with job placement. He also teaches welding classes at the Lew Sterrett Jail in Dallas using the new welding simulators.
A member of the American Welding Society, he is the owner of C.W. Welding, a welding and fabrication business in the Dallas/Fort Worth area that he started in 2008.
In his previous career, he was a registered pharmacy technician for Tom Thumb stores and a certified emergency medical technician.
