Daniel James is an emergency services manager at Texas Instruments, where he has worked since 2004. At TI, he also served as a non-manufacturing environmental safety and health specialist; projects included serving as the safety specialist for a portion of a $21 million construction project and for a $10 million six-phase construction project. He has served as a safety specialist for other varied projects in chemical distribution, electrical system upgrade and tool installation.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health from Southeastern Oklahoma State University in Durant, Okla., with a minor in leadership and communication.
He holds certifications in Emergency Response Services, Incident Command Training, HAZMAT Technician Training, Confined Space Rescue Team, First Aid/CPR and Blood-borne Pathogen Training. He is an authorized field safety representative for the state of Texas and an emergency services manager for North Texas and safety and health specialist.
Daniel has taught for North Lake College and the Construction Education Foundation since 2004, teaching Accident Prevention and Loss Control (OSHT 1313).
