Brian Fleming holds a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology from Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas, and a professional teaching certificate from Texas A&M University-Commerce, where he plans to work on a master’s degree in manufacturing.

On the Richland College faculty since 2004, he taught engineering, computer aided design (CAD) and robotics courses at Richardson ISD’s J.J. Pearce High School for nine years.

His professional experience includes serving as a design engineer for RAM Inc., an injection molding firm in Cisco, Texas, where he helped design and manufacture tooling for injection molding of high-temperature thermal plastics. In that position, he programmed and operated 3, 4 and 5 axis machining centers, CNC lathes, EDM wire and sinker, metallurgy, and an assortment of meteorology instruments supporting subtractive and additive manufacturing.
 
In 2004, he became the Engineering Technology-CADD program coordinator, now Engineering Technology-Advanced Manufacturing coordinator, in which he has implemented an advanced manufacturing lab totally comprising industry-standard equipment.
