Karla G. Reese

During her extensive corporate career, Karla Reese has held positions including programmer, systems engineer, operations manager and project executive. She worked for IBM for more than 30 years, retiring as director of Global Services with the responsibility for managing and leading teams that delivered IT solutions for clients across multiple industries.  

Ms. Reese is certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) by the Project Management Institute (PMI). She earned a Masters of Business Administration degree from Dallas Baptist University and also holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Georgia State University in Atlanta. 

She has also served as a volunteer in many nonprofit and for-profit organizations, including United Way and Inroads. For seven years, she served as an executive sponsor for EXITE camp (Explore Interests in Technology and Engineering) for middle school girls, a part of the Women in Technology program. She has developed programs, curriculum and processes to equip volunteers to make an impact in students' lives and serves as associate director for a nonprofit organization focused on delivering stewardship services and solutions. She has also served as a member of the Tarrant County Community College Business advisory committee.
