Veraina Boudreaux-Eskridge moved to Dallas from New Orleans to pursue a career at Southern Methodist University as the assistant to the director of the University Lecture Series of Dedman College.
She began her career with DCCCD in 1994 at Eastfield College as an office manager in the Continuing Education division and served as Continuing Education adjunct faculty for more than 10 years. She teaches the online credit courses Organizational Behavior and Principles of Management at Eastfield.
She holds two associate degrees from Eastfield College in LAN Administration and Management. She also holds an online Bachelor of Arts degree in organizational management and a Master of Arts in Organizational Management specializing in Human Resource Management from Ashford University. As a full-time DCCCD employee, she has served as a help desk analyst at the district Service Center and as the district eCampus /eConnect help desk manager, and is a part of the eCampus administration IT team. In 2012, she was nominated for the Jean Sharon Griffith Student Development Leadership Award at the district's LeCroy Center.
In 2014, she participated in an interview for the district Employee News entitled "Working Effectively with DCCCD Tech Support" and in the proposal reviews of “Organizational Behavior in the 21st Century” through Wiley Plus Publishing and "Organizational Behavior: A Critical Thinking Perspective” through SAGE Publications. She has also participated in a case study review with Blackboard, “Improving Student Success," and co-presented a session in 2014 at the Bb World Conference on "Improving Student Success with 24/7/365: Always on, anytime, anywhere eLEARNING technology Support Services.”
With her online experience in the roles of student, employee providing online student support and adjunct faculty member for online students, she considers herself to have a key role in student success as an advocate for online learning.
