Adjunct HDEV Faculty and Adult Resource Center Coordinator
Carisa Wilson Bustillos began teaching Human Development courses at El Centro in 2006 while serving as a student services specialist for the college’s TRIO program. In her current position as coordinator of the Adult Resource Center, she provides academic advising and counseling to at-risk students, manages a federal grant geared toward single parents and organizes campus programs and workshops that focus on healthy relationships, lifestyles and student success.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in international studies from Southern Methodist University and a master’s degree in counseling from the University of North Texas. A licensed professional counselor intern, she received El Centro’s Innovation of the Year award for 2006-2007.
