Daven Salmi, Ph.D., LPC, LCDC

Faculty Counselor and HDEV Faculty

Daven Salmi earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Westmont College in Santa Barbara, Calif., and master’s degrees in educational leadership and counseling from California State University in East Bay.

He worked in the public schools in the San Francisco Bay area for 12 years before moving to the Dallas metroplex in 2005 and has served as an adjunct instructor in psychology at three different colleges outside the colleges of DCCCD, as well as serving as a counselor in the Dallas County Juvenile Department.

In August 2009, Salmi completed his doctoral dissertation in general psychology at Capella University. He is a licensed professional counselor and a licensed chemical dependency counselor. He joined Cedar Valley College’s faculty in 2008.
