Adjunct HDEV Faculty and Outreach and
Recruitment Coordinator

An adjunct Human Development faculty member, Julie Hanson is a full-time outreach and recruitment coordinator and has a part-time psychotherapy practice in Dallas. Her teaching style is grounded in the belief that Human Development classes serve as important steppingstones for students pursuing their educational and personal goals, and her personalized approach to working with students emphasizes creating a stimulating learning environment conducive to all learning styles.

She earned a master’s degree in family therapy from Texas Woman’s University, completed her internship at the Family Studies Center at UT Southwestern Medical Center and is a licensed marriage and family therapist associate. She has also earned certification as a life coach and registered yoga teacher with expertise in mind and body wellness. She is a member of the American Counseling Association, the Yoga Alliance and the Coach Training Alliance.
