Cynthia Casey Brown is the coordinator and a full-time faculty member of the Government Department at El Centro College. She served as an adjunct faculty member in 2012, as a Government Department visiting scholar from 2013 to 2015, and became a full-time faculty member in 2015.

Ms. Brown holds a bachelor’s degree in political science and communications from Southern Methodist University and a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from SMU’s Dedman School of Law. She studied in at the American University in the Washington Semester Program in Washington, D.C. She is licensed to practice law by the State Bar of Texas and in the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Northern, Southern, and Western Districts of Texas. Ms. Brown has litigated cases in state and federal courts in subjects including medical malpractice defense, subrogation, products liability, class actions and negligence cases.

Ms. Brown serves on the Constitution Day Committee, the College Assessment Committee, the Curriculum Committee and the Quality Enhancement Plan Committee.
